  • Organist/Pianist, Austin
Northwest Hills United Methodist Church is seeking to hire an
organist/pianist (15 hours per week).  Duties include on Sunday
morning traditional worship service, accompanying the adult choir
rehearsal once a week, accompanying soloists, choirs or instrumental
ensembles in worship, accompanying special programs and services,
and substituting in the absence of the Director of Music.  The salary is

  • Choirmaster, Austin
The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd is seeking a Choirmaster
(15–20 hours per week) to direct the two adult choirs at two Sunday
morning Eucharists; the services of Principal Feasts, Fasts, and Holy
Week; monthly Choral Evensong; and two regular Wednesday evening
and all other associated rehearsals. Candidates should have a master’s
degree or equivalent experience in choral conducting, church music,
music education, or a related field; experience in a parochial setting;
familiarity with the liturgy of the Church, especially in the
Anglican/Episcopal tradition; strong interpersonal, leadership, planning,
communication, and pastoral skills; and reasonable keyboard

  • Music Director, Victoria
St. Francis Episcopal Church seeks a part-time Music Director with a
degree in music or commensurate life experience.  Must be proficient
in organ and piano; experience with bell choir a plus.  Experience with
sacramental liturgy preferred.  Ability to work collaboratively and to
lead compassionately is a must.  Willing to consider student or
someone who might commute weekly.  Position includes directing and
accompanying both vocal and bell choirs, with rehearsal for each choir
1 X week; playing for 2 Sunday morning Holy Eucharist liturgies, and
Feast Days throughout the year (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy
Week, etc.); music selection and liturgy planning in consultation with
the rector; arrangement for guest and substitute musicians; oversight
of music budget and maintenance of music library; communication
regarding music ministry and opportunities including monthly
newsletter articles; oversight of maintenance and care of all musical
instruments of the church.  The Music Director has first right of
acceptance for weddings and funerals.  Salary commensurate with
